This is the first post I'll be making exclusively from my phone. (Even the photos are taken with my iPhone.) It doubles as practice for when I go to Bangkok without a laptop. :) Also, all but two of these photos were run through a vintage filter on Snapseed. I'll probably regret doing this, but for now I'm liking the effect.

A few months ago I heard about Hiruscar. Just my luck, Ensogo was running a deal where you could get two tubes for the price of one. This was the first time I was going to avail of a deal from Ensogo, and it was a pickup one at that.

On a Thursday afternoon, I set off for Global City. After getting a little lost, I found the W Building where the Ensogo office is located. I guess a lot of people pick their items up because the guard at bag check immediately asked me if I was there for Ensogo. He then directed me to reception, where I registered and left an ID.

After getting off on the 2nd floor I saw this shiny office with the Ensogo logo. This is NOT where you claim items. To the right of the office is a small storage/waiting area with fluorescent lighting.

I couldn't help noticing the list of Not Available items. I overheard two customers were wondering why their item was not available, when they had purchased a voucher for it.

The waiting area has several computer swivel chairs where you can sit. A medium-sized flatscreen TV is mounted on the wall. During my stay, a lot of seats were free and Iron Man 2 was showing on the TV. All good. :D

Not everyone's pickup experience has been so pleasant. I suppose it varies with the deals they offer at certain times (maybe a lot are pickup-only), as well as with the day of the week. Here are:

Tips for Ensogo Pick-ups

1. Call beforehand to confirm that your item is in stock. I don't understand how it can happen when the items are pre-paid, but they do run out of stock.
2. Don't forget to bring your voucher! I almost did. :D
3. DON'T go on a Friday afternoon. Based on Lia's experience, it's the worst time to go.

Twenty minutes after entering the building, I walked out with these. I chose the 5g tubes vs. the 20g tubes for portability, since it's supposed to be applied 3-4 times a day. So I have one at home and another in my bag. I might give the others as gifts.

Initial Impressions

The gel is clear and non-sticky. It's absorbed into the skin fairly quickly. There's a rosy perfumey scent that I found pleasant in the beginning, but now I find quite pungent and slightly irritating. Not a deal breaker though.

I've been using Hiruscar for about 3 weeks. At first I was very compliant, but now I apply it only once or twice a day. My bad! No big changes yet, but I do notice that my scar (of 1 year) is lightening in color and is becoming softer to touch. Then again, it might just be the natural repair process. I'll get back to you after 4 months.
