L'Eau Jolie by Lolita Lempicka: Pleasantly Feminine

8:06 AM

L'Eau Jolie is the newest fragrance from French fashion designer and perfume creator Lolita Lempicka. Created "for pretty girls," this fruity-floral eau de toilette is a mix of neroli from the bitter orange tree, peony, and peach blossom. The top note is a blend of blackcurrant and nashi pear sprinkled with violet leaf, while the base note of musk, cedar and sandalwood brings warmth to the fragrance.

Or so the press release says. I really can't describe it any more purply than "it smells very feminine and floral." The first spritz reminds me a church overflowing with flowers during the celebration of a saint's feast day. As the day progresses it settles into a cleaner, more youthful scent.

I do love the bottle. It certainly evokes images of forbidden fruit in a fairy tale land.

Gilded ivy leaves adorn a glass apple that holds the blush-tinged fragrance. The spout is embedded in the "stem," very clever.

L'Eau Jolie by Lolita Lempicka is available in major department stores at PhP 2,950 for 50 ml and PhP 1,950 for 30 ml.
